Shipping Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Material Lift Supply ships industrial equipment via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers throughout the contiguous United States. Due to the size, weight, and value of our equipment, all shipments are palletized and require appropriate receiving infrastructure at the delivery location. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

Delivery Options & Rates

Standard Freight

Free

Includes LTL freight delivery to a commercial address with an operational loading dock or forklift on site for offloading. The carrier delivers to the dock only — inside delivery is not included.

Freight + Liftgate Service

$125.00

Required if your facility does not have a loading dock or an on-site forklift. A hydraulic liftgate lowers the equipment from the truck bed to ground level. You are responsible for moving the equipment from curbside to its final location.

Freight + Residential Delivery

$225.00

Required for home-based businesses and residential addresses. Always includes liftgate service. Residential stops require a smaller delivery vehicle and more carrier time, which is reflected in this rate.

Limited Access Surcharge

$75.00

Applies to deliveries at construction sites, schools, churches, government facilities, farms, and any location with security gates or non-standard access. Select this in addition to your base freight rate if your site qualifies. Carriers charge this fee for the additional time and routing required at limited-access locations.

Additional Accessorial Fees

Delivery Appointment ($35.00): If you require the carrier to call ahead and schedule a specific delivery window, a $35 notification fee applies. Most commercial deliveries do not require this.

Inside Delivery: Moving equipment beyond the truck tailgate or dock into your facility requires a custom quote. Contact us at sales@materialliftsupply.com before placing your order if inside delivery is required.

All applicable accessorial surcharges are calculated and disclosed in your quote before order confirmation. No freight costs are added after the fact without prior written notice.

Inspection & Damage Policy

Important — Read Before Accepting Delivery

You must inspect all equipment for visible damage BEFORE signing the driver's Bill of Lading (BOL). Once you sign the BOL without noting damage, the carrier is legally released from liability.

  • If damage is visible, note it in writing on the BOL before the driver leaves.
  • If damage is severe, refuse the shipment and contact us immediately at support@materialliftsupply.com.
  • Take photos of all damage before the driver departs.
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery for any concealed damage claims.

Freight Liability

Material Lift Supply ships F.O.B. (Free on Board) Factory. Title and risk of loss transfer to the customer once the carrier picks up the shipment from the manufacturer's facility.

The customer is responsible for all accessorial charges resulting from inaccurate delivery information, including but not limited to:

  • Liftgate fees not selected at checkout
  • Residential delivery fees not selected at checkout
  • Limited access fees for construction sites, schools, farms, or gated facilities not disclosed at checkout
  • Delivery appointment fees not selected at checkout
  • Redelivery fees due to a missed delivery appointment
  • Storage fees resulting from inability to receive the shipment
  • Inside delivery or white-glove service not arranged in advance

Lead Times & Transit

Most in-stock items ship within 3–7 business days of order confirmation. Custom or made-to-order equipment may require 2–6 weeks. Estimated lead times will be confirmed in your order acknowledgment.

LTL freight transit times vary by lane: typically 3–7 business days after pickup from the manufacturer's facility. We will provide tracking information once the shipment is in transit.

Material Lift Supply is not responsible for delays caused by the freight carrier, weather, or acts beyond our control.
